I am a Queenstown based (but not bound) family photographer with a passion for capturing beautiful things.

I am at home in front of the camera… but there are a few other places I call home. You might find me at my local cafe, sipping a coffee and working on the last family session I photographed. You might find me in a thrift store seeing what old pieces of magic I can return to the limelight. With a bit of trouble, you might find me in the wilderness capturing the natural beauty around me.

Needless to say, I am a creative through and through. It’s how I live my life and it filters through into my work.

Kia ora! My name is Susan. I’m a big fan of all things beautiful and novel. I love a good sunset at the beach, I adore animals, random knowledge and reading. I have always loved reading and learning about people’s experiences and noticing there are always aspects of our stories that connect us.

I was born in Aotearoa, New Zealand and am always wanting to learn more about our culture & indigenous perspectives. One of my (many) favourite things about living in the beautiful Tāhuna, Queenstown is noticing how the light settles on the mountains.

A big highlight of this job is meeting all the different families & couples. Every family is so special and different, and it’s a real privilege being able to witness each family’s vibrant dynamic at the photoshoots. It’s really meaningful to play a role in capturing these beautiful relationships.
